The publication of a scientific article in the Journal of Agriculture and Environment (hereinafter referred to as the Journal) must follow an anonymous peer review process, aimed at promoting integrity in peer-reviewed research articles. This process directly reflects the quality of the research work of the author and the supporting organization. Articles have been reviewed by experts and clearly demonstrate this scientific methodology. Therefore, ethical standards in publication must be adhered to by all parties involved in the publication of the Journal, including: authors, reviewers, and editors.
Author's Responsibilities
Article Standards: The article must accurately present data and research results, as well as objectively discuss the implications of the article. The article should include full details and references to allow readers to reproduce the research. The article must not have been published in any other journal or publication format. Fraudulent and inaccurate publications are considered unethical and will not be accepted.
Data Access and Storage: Authors may be required to provide supporting data drafts for editor review during peer review and/or to comply with the Journal's data requirements.
Novelty and Citations: Authors must ensure that the article is entirely original and, if using material or terminology from other studies, must cite the source accurately. Any form of plagiarism is considered unethical and unacceptable.
Article Authorship: This refers to the recognition of individuals who have made significant contributions to the content, design, execution, or interpretation of a research paper and are listed as co-authors. The principal author must ensure a complete list of all eligible and ineligible co-authors in the article, and all co-authors must review and agree to the final version of the scientific paper before submission to the Journal. The author must carefully review the list and order of co-authors before submitting the manuscript and provide the official list at the time of submission of the original manuscript. Only in exceptional cases will the Journal administration consider adding, removing, or rearranging author names after the manuscript has been submitted, and the author must notify the Journal administration of such requests. All authors must approve these additions, removals, or rearrangements and share full responsibility for the research work.
Notification of fundamental errors: Upon discovering a serious error or inaccurate information in a published article, the author is responsible for immediately notifying the Journal administration and cooperating in retracting or revising the article if necessary. If the Journal's administration and the Journal receive notification from a third party regarding errors in the publication, the author is responsible for cooperating with the Journal's administration, including providing evidence when requested.
Maintaining image integrity: Improving, concealing, shifting, deleting, or presenting a specific feature in an image is unacceptable. Adjusting brightness, contrast, or color balance may be acceptable as long as it does not obscure or remove any information from the original image. Image editing to improve clarity may be acceptable, but other purposes may be considered a violation of scientific ethics and will be dealt with accordingly. Authors should comply with any specific graphic image policies applied by the Journal, such as providing original images considered as supplemental material to the article or including such images in an appropriate link.
Responsibilities of the Reviewer
Reviewers have several responsibilities related to the peer review process, including: assisting the editor in deciding whether to publish the article and helping the author revise the article; raising concerns about ethical and political issues; and ensuring fairness, objectivity, and timeliness in the review process. Reviewer assessments must be objective and clearly presented with supporting arguments.
Confidentiality: Any manuscript received for review must be kept confidential. Reviewers must not share their assessments or information about the article with anyone or contact the author directly without the editor's permission. Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal purposes.
Responsibilities of the Editor
The Journal's leadership is responsible for deciding which articles meet the anonymous peer review requirements and which articles will be accepted for publication. Research manuscripts are typically submitted to independent reviewers, and if necessary, the editor should seek further input. Reviewers must possess relevant expertise in their respective fields and adhere to the Journal's guidelines to avoid fraudulent reviewer selection.
Confidentiality: Editors and any staff
